What an epic start to our ocean swimming season.

After a long winter of training a few of our Tomatoes took on the Coolangatta Gold with spectacular results, both podium and personal, team and individual. Competitors Anna Sargent, Shayne Jupp, Richard Boult, Nick Benson, ( Amanda Duggan ) and Rob Peart. The results were sensational , all recording personal bests: Anna took to the podium for silver in her age group in 03:03:45 Juppy a blistering 17 minute PB in the time of 02:59:27 Rob and Richard collaborated a dynamic 2,590m swim leg in 00:53:20 to bring there team into 9th place (190) Nick and Amanda's team Clifton Burnie team scored Gold in there category OUTSTANDING! (190)

A massive effort yesterday by everyone - it had a bit of everything: fast-50s; lolly-bowl; fast-25s; flares; pyramids; headbands; no-breath 25s; Nick Benson flat batteries; weak excuses?; home-cooking; Joe Doran in a rainbow tie-dye shirt; Filthy up-skirt views no one needed; burst Tomatoes caps; Filthy shotgun race start; bobbing in the water like tomato apples; Early Girl actually early; Rob Peart reminding everyone he’s sore and can’t swim very fast; Joe Doran coaching mid-event Did I miss anything?
